Kristin worked with my clients Caryl Levine and Ken Lee as the writer on their cookbook, Rice Is Life. From the moment she came on board to help with the proposal, I knew we were in excellent hands. From developing and testing inventive recipes to thoughtfully capturing Caryl and Ken's story to writing an engaging, informative narrative about the world's most essential grain, Kristin was an indispensable member of the team and more importantly, a pleasure to work with. Anyone would be lucky to have her guidance on their food writing projects!”

cookbook proposal coaching

Many authors confess to me that they loathe the proposal process. Want to know a secret? I love it, because proposals combine my passion for both cookbooks and writing words that sell.

I’ve crafted proposals for authors that have garnered five- and multiple-six-figure book deals.

If you’re ready to write a proposal but don’t know where to start, I can help. Through a series of coaching sessions, I will guide you through the process, offer feedback, and get your proposal ready to pitch to agents or publishers. I will also suggest agents who might be a good fit for your book.

Rates start at $1,000 for five 1-hour sessions plus emails in between. Reach out to get started.
