I wrote the cookbook, Modern Potluck, to give people fresh recipes for bring-a-dish parties. We all know potlucks are a great way to gather family and friends, but I've also seen how they can create unity in a community. Since the election, I’ve felt an urge to bring more people together around the table. In 2017, I plan to travel around the U.S. to host and attend community potlucks where we can share our diverse views—and recipes. Won’t you join me?
